Another Closeup

Today, we got another unexpected glimpse of the baby.  The doctor was having issues with getting the heartbeat, so they ordered a sonogram as a precaution to check the heartbeat that way.  Everything was fine, the baby was just hiding from their traditional approach of getting the heartbeat.  Although the circumstances made us a bit nervous, it was nice to get another unexpected look at the baby so soon after the last one.

Sonographic Debut

We've been looking forward to this day since we found out we were pregnant a little over a month ago.  There's something about seeing tangible photographic (sonographic) evidence that just makes it so much more real and exciting.  At this point, the estimated age of the baby is 10 weeks.  Even this early, it's amazing how you can make out the baby's features, including the tiny little arms and legs.

Pirates and Princesses

It's no secret that Stella enjoys all things Disney, so we couldn't pass up the Disney Junior Live On Tour! Pirate & Princess Adventure show that came to Wichita.  Originally, all three of us were going to go, but Megan was suffering from severe morning sickness due to our recent findings that we were expecting again.

Stella watches a little bit of Jake and the Never Land Pirates, but she was most excited about the "Princess" component of the show: Sofia the First.  She loves prancing around the house in her Sofia dress.  Doc McStuffins is her favorite Disney character and even though she wasn't part of the main show, she showed up for some quick pre-show entertainment so Stella really enjoyed that.

Ardent 2.0

Although the picture isn't very clear, hopefully the message is.  Another baby!!!  Today, we found out we'll be blessed with another boy or girl!

We are so blessed to have a gifted singer serenade us during our family dinners!

Her table manners at the end where she throws the bowl down leaves some room for improvement though.

A Doc Christmas

Christmas morning, Santa had a Doc McStuffins house setup for Stella to enjoy when she got up.  It's a lengthy 10 minute video, but the very beginning captures when she first sees the house.  I love her reaction!

Her present opening skills have drastically improved this year.

Christmas Card 2013

For this year's Christmas card, we decided we wanted to capture our family in our new home and in our new city (well, new city given that we haven't lived here full time for 10+ years).  So, mom came over with her trusty DSLR and we ended up with the following in front of our fireplace upstairs:
