Sitting Up

Stella is getting stronger and stronger.  Today, she managed to sit up for at least 10 seconds while holding herself up with her arms.  Although it slightly resembles the posture of a gorilla, it still counts:

Chloe

Today, Megan had to go run some errands while I was at work.  Luckily, Molly was available to help take care of Stella.  Stella stayed over at their place where they reside with their dogs, one of them being a very sweet therapy dog named Chloe.  Here is Stella chillin with Chloe (not to be confused with a lion):

Grandpa's 60th Birthday

This weekend, we headed down to Wichita for Grandpa Jim's big 60th birthday party (which also included his twin sister, Jean, my aunt).  Somehow I didn't get any pics of Stella with the birthday boy (or is it birthday man?), but I did manage to snap some good ones of Stella with the Grandma's:

First Pigtails

Stella has had long hair since the day she was born.  Just recently, Megan has been experimenting with her and pig tails.  Needless to say, they turned out pretty great and will become part of a regular rotation in her attire.  Also, as seen above, Megan continues to put sunglasses on her for most outdoor events.

Riverdancer

I just got a new Droid 4 and wanted to test the HD video that it can take.  What better way to test it than show how much Stella loves her bouncer?  If a picture is worth a thousand words, I guess a video is worth a thousand words X frames per second X the length of said video.   I have appropriately dubbed this Riverdancer based on her rapid leg movements while body and arms are kept largely stationary:

I'm going to try to start capturing more video, because Stella will be hitting some milestones, like crawling and talking, that a picture just can't capture.

First Solid Food (an attempt)

Today, we decided to get out the high chair and try to see if Stella would eat any rice cereal.  I'd never heard of rice cereal before, but it's as appetizing as it sounds and resembles curdled milk.  Anyways, she is almost 5 months old and the pediatrician said to go ahead and start with the rice cereal around this time.  You be the judge on how much she liked it and if anything was actually consumed:

My Favorite Nerd

I cannot express in words how much I love this shirt.  My buddy and fellow nerd Jason got this for Stella and even got here another size for when she gets older.

TCP/IP is the protocol the Internet runs on, hence the cloud graphic above the text. So, basically she uses the Internet but mostly urinates :)
